Finished my Scarecrow Heads

Well here they are, made nine, number ten will be a live actor SURPRISE!!!
I'm hoping to be able to mix the live one up with the scarecrows. We have three weekends of a haunt and each weekend I will move the actor and a scarecrow to a different location. I'm going to have a scarecrow gauntlet so to speak, five up one side of trail five up the other with about 3 feet between fingertips.

Very cool idea. Are you making the actor's mask as well? Just wondered what it would look like.

Well I took large male foam heads and hotwired different faces underneath the burlap. As for the question whether I will paint them or not, well I don't really know. The more I stare at them I don't want to screw them up. They will be in the woods with strobes and different lighting so the shadowing effects I think will be sufficient. I used 3M #45 spray adheasive and sprayed the foam and the burlap and pressed and pinched to get the faces to each to have a unique look. I still have to give them a coat of spray varnish which will darken them up a bit I think.

They look very good as is. It's nice to see how creepy they look with such a simple design...brilliant! I would leave them as they are they are very unsettling. Great work!
