I am just getting into pneumatics this year, I can't wait for all the new possibilities it will bring. I was just curious if anyone has a preferred "go-to" website for pneumatic components and fittings. I am an eBay veteran but trying to find specific pneumatic parts on eBay is like sifting through an ocean it seems. Maybe a specific eBay seller?

I support FrightIdeas/FrightProps and love their controllers, especially their new "picoFX", but their pneumatic pricing seems a bit high. Then again, I am new to this, so I could be wrong. Any suggestions?

I go direct to clippard and use their stainless steel cylinders and 5 port solenoids. For air fittings I go direct to poweraire their pricing is dirt cheap and they carry a huge selection. Cylinders run around twenty a pop and solenoids r twentyfive a pop. It does add up if using four devices per prop but the dramatic results are great. I also incorporate servos and micro processors in my props. Used to use relays, timing and latching but stepping up into microprocessors is a quantum leap into what you can do. The only limit is your imagination! If you need direction I have several sources that bring it all down into an easy to understand process.

    thisain'tmayberry,

Thanks for this site. Been building pneumatics for 4 years now and ordered a slew of stuff from them replacing my older vendor. Helps the newbs because it suggests mounting options with the cylinder so it's a user friendly website. Nice cheap shipping also.

thisaintmayberry, I checked out the site good prices on cylinders. I did not see pneumatic solenoids am I just missing them. I would like to find 5 port solenoids good quality but less expensive than I am spending now. Also have you checked out poweraire for fittings, they have great pricing.

I've never seen them carry solenoids or other desirable pneumatic components like gauges, regulators and stuff I like to use to keep from blowing up (pun intended ) my prop. I'll go to HarborFreight, ebay or into Barney's ol' junk drawer under the workbench to get the rest. Great prices on cylinders and mounting accessories though. I will check out that site you mentioned; can't have too many good sources for useful stuff!
