Made a huge score yesterday at the military surplus store! I thought I'd use the picture as a launching thread to show off props made and props found for this year's haunt: Zombie Apocalypse. The inspiration is from the movie, Terminator: Salvation. My twist is that the terminators are robot/zombies.
Hubby will be a rebel fighter robot/zombie (but good guy) and I will be a rebel pilot. Got a fighter pilot's jumpsuit, boots, captain's jacket, leather pants (!), leg holster, dog tags, patches and ammo cans :
Here's props already made:
Falling sparks:
Some ChromaDepth 3D wall panels:
Theme Poster:
And the latest maze revisions:

Guess I should explain what the planned haunt walk-through will be:
They will be wearing the 3D glasses in the first half. At the entrance, hubby will be an intimidating robot/zombie but will explain that he's part of the Resistance against the zombies. He will hand them the 3D glasses while telling them the Resistance had caught and reprogrammed him. The ToTs are there to escape from bad zombies who have taken over the town behind them.
The ToTs enter the 3D haunt through a fog curtain. They will encounter a Trash Can Trauma, a zombie grabbing at their feet, Boogedy and then go into the regular part of the maze. I will meet them there while lunging at them (should scare them) and tell them that the zombies are overrunning the defenses. I'll take their glasses and tell them not to run but keep moving! They'll pass through the dark room and ankle ticklers will get 'em. Continuing on, they'll pass by a plexiglass room where a pneumatic lunger bangs against the glass. Turn the corner and see falling sparks, haywire transformers and a sparking/snapping fuse box. They'll see the exit and I'll (now transformed into a zombie) chase after them banging a metal rod against a panel of chain link fence. As they leave...blast 'em with an air cannon.
That's the plan anyway.

Thanks everyone

Got some update pics:

Here's that coat all beat up and aged now. Muuuuch better.

This is a latex appliance (Chopper Charlie) I got from CFX at Transworld. I thought with a little harassment from me it could look terminatorish. Hubby will be wearing it with (hopefully) a LED green eye cover and that jacket in the picture above. With leather pants. RWARRR!!
<Terra fans herself>

Boogedy got a new outfit and improved rigging so he won't break again (I HOPE!).
To the right, is another Fright Theatre half-skellie. He will be my slammer prop. Basically, a slammer prop is something banging against a plexiglass window. He'll be in the box I made for Terra last year.

This is fun. Remember those fluorescent skellies I got at Transworld? Now one is on a TcT rig from DC Props. That trash can and lid banging makes a hell of a racket. It will be in the 3D section. Now I have to age the trash can.

Another rigging from DC Props. This is a horizontal mover. Also in the 3D section.

Here's the set-up I'm thinking for the TcT. Behind it will be another skellie and the two trash cans will be chained together along with the other lid. As I fire off the TcT it should rattle the other ones. You can also see the horizontal mover and how it will look to the kiddies. WATCH OUT FOR YOUR FEET!
