I'm planning on making my first Haunted House this year. I have some cool decorations we used to decorate the front of the house the past few years, but this is the first year I want to create a walk-through experience. It would be great if you could give me some tips/ideas for it! Knowing my parents I probably won't have a bigbudget but this is my plan...
To start, I'll have blacklight lightbulbs instead of regular ones. The first room I'm planning to have a baby/toy room. I have a demon baby from last years Spirit Halloween line, and I'll probably get two more this year. I have a crib in the attic that'll i'll use as well. I throw in some creepy old toys and stuffed animals including my dads old ventiloquist dummy that really creeps me out![]()
Something will pop out or scare the guests.
They will then be lead to the next room, which will be hiden by black plastic they will have to walk through. In this room I'm planning an autopsy/mad scientist room because I have a long table I could put a "body" on. I'll pick up some body parts/lab tools from a store.
After going through black plastic again, they will be lead into the kitchen which will be a witch's lair. It will include potion bottles, a bubbling cauldron, brooms, and of course a witch (actor).
They then will be lead into my family room. I'll probably put a bunch of spiders and cobwebs throughout the room.
From there, they will be lead outside to my favorite part of the event. I'm planning on building a circus tent, buying some clown props, and having some clown actors running around. It should be really cool. Oh and I'll play the classic circus music.
btw, I will have a fog machine running throughout the house. I'll probably have to purchase a second one for the outside...
So yeah, if you could give me some advice, that would be great!
