Yeah. So I have these 2 AWESOME candelabras that are lit up with flicker bulbs, and made of wood.
(which I apparently never got pictures of in action last year! - although I'll check when I get home)... They are 4ft wide and 2 ft high.

I want to mount them on my patio in my apartment, but they are kinda big, and will need to be mounted to METAL... Last year we mounted them to a wood fence and just screwed them in. Anyone have any suggestions for mounting things to metal bars?

kinda what the patio bars look like... I don't have any pics of that yet.

btw Not sure tie wraps will be strong enough to hold them up...and I don't want them to be able to flop around...I get some pretty strong afternoon breezes at my place, even in the summer.

I'm thinking some sort of wooden brace that'll run up the back of them? I dunno. Ideas?
How many days do I have left?

What about magnets? There are some pretty strong ones available that have on/off positions because they are so hard to move, but the prices do tend to reflect that. I know I saw them at Rockler, and I think Lee Valley carries them as well.

    Here's one with a hook.

Why not put a board (painted black first) on the back side of the fence and then use longer screws to extend past the metal (in the open spaces) and then into the wood, effectively squeezing the fence between the wood and the candelabra. Screw it tight enough and friction will hold it.

I've actually been thinking about it all afternoon, and I think I migh build a sort of platform, with a nice edge in which to screw the cadelabra's into... then I'll have something to set the pumpkins on as well...i dunno if it'll work tho. I have to go get them from storage this weekend and bring them home.
