Hi all. Our haunt is always themed (keeps us focused, LOL) and we keep the theme for 2-4 years. This will be our 2nd year of a haunted farm theme, and we're eager to build on what we had last year. Even though we're rarin' to go, we're having trouble thinking up new scenes to add. I thought I'd beg for ideas from my brilliantly disturbed friends here on the forum.
We already have a farmer's market stand, a haunted chicken coop, pneumatic dog house, barrel of tentacles, and various scarecrows. We know how to do pneumatics but nothing complex. Any suggestions would be welcome!

In my haunt im going for the children of the corn theme. Im using amish outfits and old rusty farm tools that are scary as hell. Im in illinois so corn is everywhere. Its also easy to incorperate an old farm cemetery in with it. Im also having farmer zombies and using my old xmas reindeer from walmart as dead sheep. Im also thinking of doing some kind of animal butchering shed, something that you would see in the texas chainsaw massacre. I hope i gave you a few ideas!!

I LOVE the dead sheep idea! That's something I've never heard before! Where did you get your old farm implements?
I had thought of having a stump for chicken-beheading, complete with flapping headless bodies and a self-moving axe, but in the end decided it was just too gruesome. We have young kids, so we have to keep things to a level where they're not afraid to walk through the front yard every day.

How about a 10' creature made out of hay, spotlights for eyes, motor of some sort to have the top half move left& right. Hay all around dead farmers & live ones fighting it with pitchforks
some fog. Have some people dressed as smaller creatures pop out from the haystackes. Hey Hays for horses.

rabid pigs? or wart hogs?
cornstalks?
hay bales?
spiders and giant spider webs.....think "Arachnaphobia"?
zombie girl in pig tails and short shorts?
maze?
the headless chickens might not be as bad as kicking legs under farm equipment
stalls in the barn? maybe a wreath on one of them to honor a beloved horse
living dead horses....night mares
Jeepers Creepers
voodoo area with dead chickens or bones
any ideas helping?"We accommodate the living, but who shall accommodate the dead?"
"We say haunted, but we mean the house has gone insane."

how about a conveyour belt with corn/farm produce moving along , you cant see where the food comes from as the conveyour comes out of a hatch, then a blood covered carcase of a stabbed animal moves along, using pneumatics you could make it kick as it goes along?
i wish i had an air compressor

yea you got to include animals into that..... use red glowing led eyes and stuff like that
There's no earthly way of knowing Which direction we are going. There's no knowing where we're rowing
Or which way the river's flowing. Is it raining? Is it snowing? Is a hurricane a blowing?
