Here are some really cheap and quick pillar candles. I made them from painted toilet paper rolls with battery-operated flicker tea lights ($1 for 2 from the Dollar Tree). I put on a base coat of white paint, then hot glued the tea light in and added the wax drips. After a couple more coats of paint, and some shadowing, they were ready to go. I wish I had covered the spiral line better, but they're going to be in the dark, so they should look alright. Not bad for 50 cents and a little bit of time.

I may just have to try this!! I'm not the most savvy when it comes to using a saw and other such tools but with toilet paper holders - who knew?!

    Thanks for the info!
    Is it Halloween yet?

I had to split the tubes and hot glue them to the correct size to hold the tealights. Other than that, the thing that took the longest was waiting for the paint to dry!
