We had a make and take here in Florida the end of May and we began Bleeding Tombstones. I just completed MY project and wanted to show it off. Being a girlie girl ...thought it was a pretty easy project once I got into it.
just some FYI info: Its a typical Bleeding tombstone. But for people that haven't seen one before.
Foam Tombstone designed with a base to hide "well" .
( double thickness of pink foam for the stone part - single thickness for the base)
In base of tombstone I used a" plaster" tray for the well of blood.
It is a couple inches deep and long.
Can take more detailed pics of outside and inside if anyone is interested.
Harbor Freight sells small fountain or aquarium pumps for around $15.00
clear air tubing
a multi air outlet....can be found at the fish store. ( you can see it on the back of the tombstone )
Drylock the entire piece ...and faux finished and embellished.
I used Beet Juice for the "blood" test run.

Love it, great job. What type of pump did you use?

Nicely done! Love the shape and detailing on the stone! Pumping blood makes it that much better!

I like the inscription, too! Perfect! I got a small fountain with a pump for $3 at the flea market this spring and didn't want to run the electricity out to the front yard for it, and didn't know what to do with it! Now I do! I think the motto of this forum should be "never throw anything out!!"
