This is what I did for our garbage can last year. I still have this but learned we need a large can in each of the two gathering areas of the house to save on having to pick up a million bottles, etc the next day. Any ideas of what to do for a second can? We have a large (40 gallon?) plastic can I can alter.

Thank you. But I need ideas.... haha. If you have any questions, just ask. I am sure I got the idea from the forum last year.

Oh. I was so excited to see last year's can I skipped over the rest of your post. My bad.

How about lining the inner circle of the 40 gallon w/ monster teeth? You could paint some eyes on the side of it or ...

...maybe a long sheet of paper that would wrap around it. You could put some sort of texture on it to look like skin or flesh as well and just wrap it so you aren't permanantly altering the can.

Maybe copper paint to make it look like an old vat or something outta Frakenstein.. You could cut round circles out of craft foam for rivet looking things too!

saw something cool. Hang a body upside down from a chain or rope like it is being dipped in the barrel. Really would only have to be maybe boots and pants stuffed. You could even have a wiper motor moving it up and down. A good cheap effect.

All you really need is a barrel and the old boots/shoes,rope/chain and an old pair of pants.

I am planning on doing the basic idea.

Well, my husband says he does not want to permanently alter the can so I am not allowed to paint it. I think I am going to mummy wrap it with gauze.

Maybe some kind of "garbage monster" where the mouth is open and that's where they throw the garbage
