Whoo! It's been fairly quite in my shop of horrors, but I did get a pleasant suprise in the mail Monday! I've always wanted to put together a Scary Terry talking skull and I even bought everything I needed from digikey to make about four circuit boards four years ago, but I haven't gotten around to making them yet, So to get my butt in gear I ordered a completed unit from Cowalicious designs! I'm kinda intimidated with electronics when it comes to soldering, etc, so having a completed unit for whatever reason will make it easier for me! I definitely want a 3 axis skull, but they were a tad bit out of my price range this year.. (next year for sure!) yet I'm pleasantly surprised with the results Still need to adjust the sensitivity a bit and play with my music files in Audacity, but you guys get the point! I now have a FCG and my talking skull.. and a shipment of stuff from monsterguts to make some more animated Props!

I also made my Grandma some Sun Jars for her patio awhile ago, but they didn't look EVIL enough, so I revamped the design a little and now they are suitable for her tables YEAR round! Labels are done in Adobe Illustrator and sealed with modge podge, varnish brush on paint and spray on varnish, so I *hope* they last outdoors! The Sun Jars have been in use for about 4 months now and are working AWESOME! They have a solar light in the lid and the charge holds up all night! Ohhhh Ahhh!! Think I'm going to play around with putting stuff inside to see if they look cooler

I'm going to be at Disneyland this year for Halloween, so I am not as stressed out as some of you, but again my room looks like Halloween year round, so I'm always having fun making some more morbid curiosities! Happy Haunting!

@ BevAnn Here was the link to the original thread on Halloween Forum

Glowing Jars for Scientist Lab/Alien Lifeform

and from withing that thread I believe I followed this link

    http://lifehacker.com/5315357/create...ition/gallery/

The valspar glass frosting has to be sealed with something or applied in really thing coats because it did peel on me the first time, but it adds a nice touch in some ways! I sealed mine with spray on polyurethane I believe! The labels are printed on the computer, sealed, and then I found those cool brass rings to give it the finishing touch. I picked those up at Michael's as well. You need a small tool with it too, but it wasn't very much $$ and I can find plenty of use for extra labels! Witch cupboard here I come!

    Thanks for the comments everyone!

@undeadrevenge hehe, it's kinda funny because I have a lot of Halloween stuff, but I'm usually out marauding around California traveling to different Haunted Houses and make a fun vacation of it.. Once I have my own house and yard, I will definitely be going above and beyond

hehe.. kinda, but I'm not good at drawing, so the artwork is sourced from www.deviantart.com and I just played around with different fonts/ideas/images, but I didn't do any of the artwork! Just searched until I found something I liked for an image and put the labels together according to my tastes in Adobe Illustrator!

The talking skull is very neat and those jars add a great touch. The labeling looks awesome. I would buy those if I saw them somewhere.
