Hey folks! I just picked up my 4x8 pink foam from Home Depot. What is the best way to turn this into a brick wall (Router the sheet or cut the bricks individually and glue them). I've never messed with styrofoam before - what type of paint should I use? Any good luck with certain colors? Any advice is appreciated!

Styrofoam has to be painted with water based paint. Oil based paint will eat through the foam. As far as routing the mortar joints or cutting out individual bricks, that is entirely up to you. I myself would probably cut out individual bricks. A base color of paint withe some dry brushing of another color would probably look more realistic.

depending on how thick your foam is you may want to add extra stability and cut and glue them to another sheet however this will cost you extra cash, you couls always mount the pieces to a piece of plywood as well, use pl 300 to glue together as for paint always look in the mis tinted colors first at your local paint or hardware store sometimes you can get a gallon of latex house paint cheep, I got most of mine for no more than $5.00 Canadian at home depot and some other paint stores

I used a dremel to route the grout lines.

Dark gray "oops" paint from Lowes. Wear a mask/goggles when routing. The foam dust gets EVERYWHERE!!
