Made more progress today on this guy. Stole the corpsing-the-head-with-liquid nails idea from someone else, and it works great. I was concerned with the brush marks the chip brush left in the liquid nails, but after you paint (or stain it in my case) it looks fine. The zip tie on the head is only temporary. I wanted to get the head going while I worked on other stuff. Let me know what you think. I'm puting him in a toe-pincher coffin. The coffin lid will cover up his lower half, so you'll only see him from the torso up. I want to highlight his face, so I think I'll have him holding a tealight candle to his face. What kind of shirt should he wear? Let me know what you think.
PS- I know the head is a few shades kighter than the body. Must be the difference in materials the stain was applied to. Oh, well. His body with be mostly covered by a shirt.

He looks great! The liquid nails has always worked very well for me. While the LN is still tacky you can lightly press hair into it and it will hold up quite well even when you apply stain/finish paint. I bet he would look awesome with a dress shirt (awesome distressing tips at skullandbone.com ) and maybe a beat up hat!

Looks great. I like the extension cords showing around the neck in pic 4. Kinda looks like veins still attached in the neck.....

Alright, he is almost done. Here's some pics and a video. He is still missing a hand and I need to age the shirt more. Once he's really done I'll post a final video, just wanted you all to see this in case you may want to use this in your haunt. He cost me $10.00 to make, and that was all in the toy motor circuit to run the jaw. He doesn't talk in this video, I need to work on the voice a little and put some finishing touches on him then I'll post the final version. Sorry about the poor video quality and not-so-great camera work. It was taken with our digital camera and I didn't think about the fact that turning the camera on it's side would not work well in a video, but you'll get the drift anyway. Enjoy!
