I mentioned in another thread that I would post when I got these, as I know alot of other people are interested in them.
I dont think they are worth $30 a piece because of their size, and I cant turn off the sound.
The box says sound activated, but when I yelled, clapped and hit random stuff it wouldnt turn on, but if I pushed it slightly it went off.
I shopped at an online place called rhinomart and bought a case of 4, which made them $19.99 each and shipping was $6.30 UPS.
I have included pictures because I couldnt believe how small they were, but I guess when I place 4 of them in a group up in the trees or something it will really be effective.
Now I just need to figure out how to get the sound off because its a horrible shrieking it makes and dont think I could stand it on all 4 every other second.
I added my dvd next to the box so you can see how tiny the box it comes in is.
The reaper itself is best against some kind of flat surface, because it has a flat "butt" and the hanging part will need some bulking up with a solid fabric piece, because the cheesecloth wrappings are very see through.

It does look small, but I'v noticed that alot of Halloween props are always smaller than the pictures show. Thats why I don't like ordering things from Spirit online because you never really know what it will look like...But anyway, it is still cool. I really like the movement that they make. I was thinking of buying one for my porch area but it just doesn't seem to fit into my theme at all, but they are still pretty cool.

Thanks for the pics. I was and still am interested in purchasing one. I have a question...it looks like this is sold by "the gothic company" but isn't that a label of the manufacturer F.I.T.C.O. (First Imperial) I thought they went under! Are they back in business, or has a new manufacturer taken the label? Can you look on your box and see who makes this? Curious!
It looks pretty good for $20. For 30 it looks good too, but I'm still a little hesitant to buy one, especially if the sound activation doesn't work that great. Is it also motion activated?

wow, I just looked and it says on the back (in addition to the Gothic Company- which is most prominent and on all sides), that this product comes from Sunstargifts and they have a website that looks like it would be fun to look at. Unfortunately , before you can look at their stuff you need a login/password and theres no registration links.
I found it more readily motion activated by the slightest jarring of the prop, vs the sound activation. Its not advertised on the box as motion activated but definitely is.
Im just not crazy about not having an option for sound optional, with just the lighted and movement on. Its all or nothing.
I hope one of our more tinkerish members buys one and can tell me how to disable the sound without compromising the animation and lights. Im thinking it looks alot like a bomb, which wire to cut, lol.

I guess Sunstar owns the label. They make some pretty descent stuff. In the last couple of years, they've really butted heads with Gemmy. Sunstar Inc makes alot of the foam skeleton props, but they are starting to move more into the animatronic decor; giving Gemmy and Tekky Toys a run for their money.
Glad to see they're making some new stuff. I like the flying reaper, I'll probably buy one!

Cool, I really wish I could see their catalogs because the teasers on their website look great. I didnt want to pay $29.99 plus shipping for one, so I bought 4 for a total of $86.26 including shipping. I at least wanted 2 so I think this route was best for me from that supplier.

I was looking at these on a site and I wanted one bad. But I don't know if I want to deal with the sound either. Soooo glad you posted this!
