anyone use this? I'm thinking about getting one. Light O Rama is a bit pricey and it seem's a bit challenging for me.![]()

You just missed LOR's summer sale, as well.
There's a number of threads on the Gemmy product. Use the search function to find them. Note, too, that there are different versions of Lights and Sounds of Christmas, and the one you need is the one that has the flash memory card slot.

This year Gemmy is coming out with a halloween version that is said to have
improved mp3 support, a louder speaker, and an audio out jack.

i have a gemmy light show. i got it as a christmas present two christmas's ago. my bf didn't realize i intended it to be for halloween, he thought he was getting me more into christmas rather than halloween, ha ha like that's going to happen. anyway, i have the one that you can hook your mp3 player up to. so i can play my halloween songs. i've got the smaller one, i've been trying to find the second plug in thing so i can have more outlets but haven't been able to find it yet. anyway, i love it. i ran it every night last year for christmas and halloween and haven't had any problems. i also bought a fm transmitter and have that hooked up so cars passing by can hear the music in their car. this little thing is what brought me to the forum and it what made my love of halloween go spiraling out of control. before i just loved halloween and bought everything off of clearance. now i shop all year and make stuff too. any questions feel free to ask.

CraiginPA-checked the old threads but I was hoping there would be something more current. LOR had a summer sale? Bummer I misssed it.
Eyegor, are you looking into getting the new one? I searched online and there was around $180.00 I think. It also said that it had six plug ins for diffrent props.
Creepingdth, I'll search around for add on's. If I find anything I will let you know.
I really want to add some fun lighting to this years yard display. I no longer have an mp3 player but maybe I can get it to hook up to my computer?halloween is a super cool holiday.

I assume that this device is more than just a big speaker? Does it just cause lights to flicker in time to the music or something more?

180 is very high unless it has both hook ups for outlets, so there would be 12 outlets total. my 6 outlet one was orignally a hundred but right before christmas they dropped to fourty. and yes, the gemmy has different settings where it can dance to the music, randomly go off and on, blink, and i think there's one more setting but can't remember.

Nah, I snatched up a Christmas one (yeah, yeah, I said Christmas..want to make something of it!) last year for $30 buck and modified it to amplify the speaker. I haven't used it yet! The new one is supposed to have an improved speaker volume and better mp3 support. I'll probably connect it to an fm transmitter this year.

I'm not spending that much on it. A friend works for spirit opperations so she's going to try and get a discount for me.
