I used white glue to glue labels on bottles (for my withes kitchen) but I don't like them.. I tried to peel them off but they are really stuck! I also tried oil because I know it removes the sticky stuff left behind by stickers but that didn't work either Does anyone know a way to get the glue and paper off?

I have boiled them off in an old pot if the glass is not chipped or cracked! Hope that helps Kymmm! Best of luck!

I soak mine in the sink under full hot tap water with the stopper.

I would try soaking them in hot water over night. And I've found that Non stick cooking spray takes most everything off.

Soak them and then use WD-40 to get off residue.

Yep, WD-40 works. If it's really stubborn adhesive, use MEK (methyl ethyl ketone). It's very flammable, lots of ventilation is needed.

    Just a suggestion:

Next time you want to put lables on glass, use rubber cement. Much easier to change your mind (and the lables) that way.

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood? Best reason I've heard to just use a chipper, unless you own a rabbit woodchuck.

ok just as a thought goo gone works that is what i use.... or you can get a heated decal remover from harbor freight it kind of looks like a big soldering iron with a razor blade attached to it.... oh and I work for a chemical lab and MEK (methyl ethyl ketone) is really not good for you to get on you or to inhale so if you are going to go this way please do it outside and wear gloves... wouldn't want anyone to get hurt using that.... also acetone works but you can only buy one or two gallons at a time depending on where you purchase them walmart has them and i know Lowes or Homedepo has them..

For getting the labels off large quantities of beer bottles for homebrew, I used to put them outside in a 30 gallon garbage can filled with water and a cup or so of bleach. After a couple of days, the labels fall off and anything growing in the bottles will be gone too.
