Thought these were pretty cool ! The LED finger lights would be cool for an actor to wear in a haunt or use on an animatronic prop that moves it's hands/arms...or ? Check out the video too. The LED faucet light is creepy ! The water looks like blood(Check out the customer action shots too !) http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/...cj&ref=&CJURL=

LASER FINGER BEAMS (even cheaper LED pin lights) –
08-16-2010,05:17 AM
.....
I bought 50 of those "Super bright LED light" things myself....
But, Sunday I was at the local flea market with my son, and he's going through this stand that's an oriental importer that's typically selling dollar store items for $2.00.
And, he finds "Laser Finger Beams" and buys them.
I get looking...These appear to be exactly the same as the LED lights I bought
.
Now, he paid $3 for a 4 pack, which is a tad cheaper than the others...
But, getting home, I looked them up. Sure 'nough, they are dirt cheap.

I'll be doing some side-by-side testing tonight and post pics.
Sure, there's no nifty little clamp, but there is an elastic to put them on your finger/a stick, and WITH shipping, 48 of these things (a dozen 4 packs) clocks in at just under $.50 ea for me.
If someone wanted to organize a group buy (sorry, can't), we could get them even cheaper.

Yea, we've had this type for years. I take them and put them on the kids bike spokes every year for 4th of July and block party. They look really cool at night spinning.
I have to say, I NEVER thought of using them to accent light props. I continue to be amazed at what people on this forum come up with.
I'd be interested in seeing the comparison photos. I know the "finger lights" are pretty bright.

Just looked them up on Ebay (search term was "Finger LED") and there are loads of sellers.
The cheapest I've seen is for 8 (2 each of red, blue, yellow & green) for £0.99, plus £0.55 for shipping to the UK, which is £1.54 in total. Assuming the shipping cost to the US is the same (I bet it's less actually), then this equates to about $2.40 for 8 - That's about 40c each!
Follow this link;

And you can make an offer price too!
I think at that price you can forget about replacing the batteries and just dispose of them once finished. It states they work for between 12 & 24 hours continual use (I think - the English isn't perfect).
So for 50 it would cost around $15!
Me thinks a bargain!

Posted these about a month ago. Guess they're the same as the one's you found.

Just go to Youtube and search "LED finger lights" and away you go.
Quite a lot on there and they do look very good & bright. One guy said 4 of the 8 he bought broke pretty much as soon as he got them out of the packet, but maybe he was just heavy handed? I mean, you just get them out and switch them on surely?

Ah, let me merge it all together then. Don't need to be splitting this discussion into two differing threads.
I'll still get pics of side by side shots with the ones from Jack's Toolshed tonight. See if they do indeed match up (they appear to be identical from my initial inspection)

I am interested to see this as well if they match up as i just found them at our local dollar store $1.25 for the 4 pack. They seem pretty bright in a dark area.
