Last year I bought a floor model Goodnight Kisses baby doll at Spirit store(these babies were one of the "crazes last year) the day after halloween dirt cheap...Wasn't able to test it in the store and I paid for that mistake. She is a16 " about sitting red headed foam latex doll with a white dress, skin is green. Got the thing home and it doesnt work. We opened up the head to see the internal wiring etc and was able to make it do its thang a few brief times but over all it won't work. Her head is supposed to spin around and she is supposed to make demonic sounds and possibly eyes lighting up...kind of like that Animated Hex guy. I believe there is also a motion sensor in the front, and battery operated. My husband lacks electronic knowledge and we dont know anyone else who can make this work. I would be willing to pay for shipping to and back as well as parts ( as long as its not a fortune) to be able to fix this thing. -unless there are a few Texas people out there near Houston that would be able to help this baby work. I am doing a NIGHTMARE NURSERY as part of our haunt this year and she is one of my main props...would hate to have her be a static prop but if i must i must

If anyone can help please please let me know either by post or PM.
    Thx all

Don't know that product, but I'm guessing you checked the obvious...has good batteries, on switch, etc. What did you do to get it to work, however briefly? Can you touch contacts inside and get it to go? Could be a problem with the motion sensor.
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be...

Unfortunately spirits motion stuff has prob's with bad soldered wiring. I've bought "dead" stuff from managers that were discounted because they didn't work & most of the time was a wire that was poorly soldered on & fell off.
Be it the switch or battery pac or even from the board itself,....... Might get lucky & it may just e a bad part......sorry, hope someone can help local, shipping back'n forth still $20+

Do you think you could fix it even if shipping is 20.00? My friend Jim was tinkering with it and he got it to do its thing somewhat so i am convinced its the wiring. Sadly that was the extent of what he could do. Let me know if you think you could really help fix it if i sent it. Thx again!

Hmm would be interesting to know what it was he was doing when it worked. Would hate to have you ship it to me & not be able to find the problem...... but since he did get "life" from it,looks promising.
Hopefully not a major part that kinda half broke, like a gear. Would be willing to see if I can fix it. See what the shipping charge is to CA 94080
If no one closer able to help you, then ok with me

I'm not familiar with that prop either, but if it worked briefly it must be an intermittent problem.
Like mentioned before--loose wire, broken solder joint, etc.
Are you sure the motion sensor is good? I would try bypassing the motion sensor by just hooking the two wires that go to it together.
How hard is it to take apart? Can you access all of the electronics?
If all else fails, buy a new one at Spirit this year, put your broken one in the box and take it back for a refund.

I realize that happens a lot, but, dude, that's not too cool. They bought the floor model and it didn't work when they bought it. So. San Francisco is willing to give it a shot, mail it to him.

There were a bunch of these dolls available last year but I think only 2 were animated...others were static. Was thinking the video might give some insight to her mechanics at least of what she is "supposed" to do!

I wish i knew how to "bypass" wires and stuff...sorry electronics noob here. Yes we peeled the latex head almost completely off as its only held with some glue and all the workings are right inside the body. I doubt that they will have anymore of these, it was the new thing for 2009 and even on ebay some of the babies are few and far between that are listed for sale. Yeah I think my conscience wouldnt let me do a switcheroo
