I went through my my cemetery pics and thought I would share these epitaphs with you guys.

Safe, safe at home

With home? My soul shall soar though heaven
With the same? Unfading glory blest:
For a home one star to us be given
In the Father’s bosom we shall rest.

Death is the crown of life

In the midst of life we are in death

Lovely, Loving, Beloved

A tender father and mothers dear
And three beloved daughters lie here
When Christ’s ? to call them forth
The rising ??? how there worth

Friends nor Physicians could not save
Her dying body from the grave

Here lies
A husband loved
And a son most dear
Their lives were faithful
And their honor clear
They broke no promise
Served no private ends
Who had no enemies
And lost no friends

Sprung from her fetters
And fastened to the skies

Gathered Home

In Death they were not divided

Dearest child thou hast left us
And they loss we deeply feel
Tis the Lord that bereft us

May his ashes rest in peace

Beneath the waving willow
We laid her down to rest
The earth is now her pillow
The grass grows o’er her breast
Sleep darling, sleep.

Beneath this stone in soft repose
Is laid a mother’s dearest pride.
A flower that scarce has waked to life
And light and beauty, ere it died.
This lovely bud-so young so fair,
Called hence by early doom,
Just came to show how sweet a flower
In Paradise would bloom.
I shall know the loved who have gone before,
And joyfully sweet with the meeting be,
When over the River the peaceful River,
The Angel of Death shall carry me.

Gone, but still remembered.

Dear Father, with a reverent hand
This to thy memory given
While one by one they household band,
God reunites in Heaven.

And peaceful on the mother’s breast,
Her angel babe has sunk to rest .
