For anyone looking to make some fence pillars (or many other projects) and would like a source of FREE foam, check out the local trailer supply companies. I have a yard full of these blocks to use on my projects.
Here's a sample of what I'm doing with them.

I glued 2 of the blocks together, used a dremel and heat gun for the mortar joints, spray painted the mortar with black H2O paint and used tinted DryLock for the rock color. I will do the paint detail when all 14 pillars are ready to go.

I used both Liquid Nails and PL300 foam adhesive. I prefer the PL300 as it seems to dry quicker. I also added a couple of 12 inch bamboo stake pieces that I got at Dollar Tree in the gardening section. A buck for a bag and I cut each one in half.

I got mine from Bobzilla. Here's the info he posted regarding the blocks.

My buddy who works at trailersplus here in San Diego, just informed me that the location in Fontana, ca has at least 60 of these 20x20x12 styrofoam blocks:
If you live in that area, you should call or drop by there !
    http://www.trailersplus.com/Default.aspx?StoreID=TRPL27
They also have locations in these areas :
    Mesa
    Fontana
    Salt Lake Cty
    Salem

    Fresno
    Las Vegas
    Marysville
Check out those other locations if you live near by and they may have some too ! Good luck !
