Does anyone know how this armature is setup to open the mouth the same time as raising the arms?

Is using linkages to move each.
Click HERE for an example you can follow.
The actual 'linkage' could be a metal shaft, a chain, a wire... etc.
Hope that helps!

I would guess there's a hinge at the shoulders and a hinge at the jaw along the X axis. perpendicular to each on the Z axis is a short arm. A vertical bar on the Y axis connects the two arms and is hinged at both connections. When the cylinder in the chest pushes the arms up, the shoulder bar turns, causing the vertical bar to lift, causing the upper jaw to open.

Thanks Mr. Chicken ...that makes sense to me now! I could not wrap my brain around it before.

Now, if you understand that, take the sine wave and add it to cosine and run it along the w axis then the allies will use a pincer maneuver to cut off the co tangent as it tries to meet up with the axis powers...
I guess this is why I'm still making static props. It is not a sprint, nor a marathon, just a slow meandering down the path to the grave yard.
