I'm trying to improve my lighting this year, but I'm a bit confused about these LED spots:

    http://www.minionsweb.com/osStore/li...-c-1_4_97.html

I've tried contacting Minions, but can't get an email reply (I think they might be busy with the move...).

Does anyone know the answer to the following:

    1. What kind of plugin are these? Can I plug them into a regular extension cord?

    2. Does the color listed mean that only that color LED will work with it?

I'm just trying to highlight a few props/tombstones & want to be a bit more subtle than in the past (i.e. not using flood lights).

    Thanks!

    Those are really neat spots.
The add says the fixture comes with a 110V ac transformer so I suppose they would work with normal household current.
As for the bulb replacement if it were me I would only replace them with those specified for the unit. There are so many variables when it comes to LEDs: as in number of LED in use, volts and mA which are all used to calculate resisters.
Of course this is just my opinion and I am no electronic or electrical guru but it would be best if Minions would get back with you since they are the distributor.
Haunted forum http://www.hauntforum.com/showthread.php?p=341470 has a tutorial for spots that I have used and really like them. They allow you to build your own so you can make as many as you want in the color and brightness that LEDs allow.

I haven't seen these personally, so I'm just guessing from the photo and description. These appear to be a sealed unit, so you buy the color you need. You can't unscrew and replace bulbs. It's low voltage, and powered by a converter (aka "wall wart") which you can plug into an extension cord or outlet strip.

I believe Corey's still involved with the move and setting up his new location.

Thanks Steve. What you said make sense. Are there other website out there that offer similar items? I'm sure that with LED they'd last a long time (esp. for a home haunt like mine) but replaceable lights might be nice...

I wish we had something to offer, but unfortunately, we don't at the moment. Minion's Web has a good selection. Depending on your needs, you might find something at http://shop.minispotlight.com/ or http://darklight.e5design.com/

Thanks again! I'm so happy this forum exists; I used to feel all alone as a home haunter...but this site reminds me that there are lots of folks that care as much as I do about Halloween....
