if you like animated air props, a few pop up skulls or skeletons would be nice hidden inside...
A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..

hide some skeletons or ghosts or something among the branches..peeking light up eyes... witch(es) crashing into them....decorate them with lights for a crazy halloween tree...there is a plethora of things you can do and I'm sure someone will come up with really cool ideas on here

Great ideas so far. How about making monster limbs poking out all over the hedge? Use limbs like what's in this picture:

This is something I do with the bushes we have, I've gotten a lot of compliments about them.

I have no bushes, but some ideas might include glowing eyes, and some sort of rig with a motion detector to make the bushes shake and grow when someone walks by.

Ya I agree with alot of the comments. I would get skeleton parts sticking out and then a few of those battery powered blinking evil lights. I have some in my prop folder if you want to see what they look like. Attach those to branches and it looks like your shrubs are full of spooky creatures.

What a great idea. I was getting tired of the "same old skeletons in the same old places" every year.

Plus, as my husband said, I've got spare body parts in every room in the house.

The xmas light blinking eyes gag is a good one and easy/cheap enough to do.
What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.
