Thread: Strengthen a Blucky's joints

I think I found a good way to strengthen the joints of a blucky.

Normally cut off the tab and use a dowel instead. The dowel runs through the joint and out the opposite side, the other end is inserted (I sometimes make my own holes) into the body and out through the other side of the body. I Then hot glue it big time. at all places possible.

But as you know, the thickness on a Blucky can vary. Even with the dowels, the arm itself can & will bend (to fight this I use a full length dowel that runs the distance of the bone). So while working today, this came to me (might have been the heat):

1) Use the dowel as normal
2) Use Great stuff in the joint / body area. It will expand and fill up the area making it more resistant to bending.

Has anyone else tried this yet? Thoughts and or opinions?
