Well the linkage isn't hard, the bore and stroke make for a heavy prop if needed. If you can weld then go that route otherwise nuts/bolts would work also. Here is a simple plan that is easy to make. Would look great hiding in a corn field then pop out above someones head.

That's a real good idea, about how much does all that framing cost?

LOL. Both of those pictures are from my website Industen.

The linkages are not cheap, especially when built correctly. You could simply build a real heavy duty simple pop-up, with the head mounted to the cylinder and the cylinder pushing straight up. You would of course get alot more impact by building something like one of the items above. The upper one uses a 2" bore 9" stroke cylinder, but you could use your cylinder with a lightweight body and the same style mech.

Thanks, when you mean linkages do you mean like the cylinder linkages or just where the pieces come together, and do you have dimensions for the larger one?

You can download a free program that lets you mess around with 4 bar linkage. It takes a little time to learn but you'll catch on. gadget-evilusions sorry for not giving you credit...mine are all buried in my back room so I borrowed your similar pics
