Warp the clothes around some bricks and drag them around the street.

Wash em afew times. Depending on what kind of weathering you want done to them you can use a seam popper to make some rips, tears, or fraying. You can use some wet tea bags for stains or a mist of black or brown spray paint.

Rip them tear them let the threads hang. Next get some black rit dye. Make a batch and throw them in the washer machine (following instructions of course) The black RIT dye never really dyes black it gives it an over all grey look. Depending on the fabric. Even cotton rarely comes out black. I did this last year for hubbys costume. Ripped up the ends of the pants and shirts. Then dyed it. It came out great! You can also with some watered down paint add to the effect in certain places depending on the look you want. Good luck. HTH

In addition to ripping seams, I read on a stage costuming website you can also wear down parts of the fabric with a palm sander. Spots like shirt pockets, under arms, collar tips, places the have alot of movement. Then dye and wash. Looks more natural than forced rips.
