Hello all
We have decided to purchase Blue LED lights from Minions Web for this year. We want to make the grave yard more "ethereal" by mainly using blue lighting. We are looking for recommendations on what # LEDt o order...9,18, 36, 50? We want them to light the tombstones, but we do not want the whole yard lit up. Any help would be great!!
Thanks so much!

Not really familiar with Minions Web's LED lights, but to give a little reference -

This is a single 40,000 mcd blue LED at about 4.5 - 5 feet in very low ambient light. The tombstone's about 26 inches tall.

If you're looking for just lighting stones and other individual props, check out the single LED clip-on spots at Jack's Tool Shed. Here's the thread:
Awesome Color LED lights for great price!!!
Jaybo did a test with the various colors at different distances; scroll down the page to see the video. I bought 12 of blue ones and yeah, they're really bright. At a buck apiece you can't beat these lights.I...have many names...

Hey, thanks so much for the link! We just ordered twelve to try them out and see! That would save so much work...just clipping them on instead of running all of those cords. Sounds like the clips are delicate, but thats ok! We will be careful with them. How are you going to attach them to your stones?

Re: Minionsweb LED bulbs...
I have lots of them, and I love them. I use the 36 LED lights for a general wash of color (front of cemetery & uplights on the house itself). I use the 12 and 18 LED lights as pinspots on smaller props and on the back rows of the cemetery.
That said, for the big night I ordered some of the battery-powered LED cliplights from Jack's (see linkie above) as accent lighting and for the areas where I can't plug anything in... Every year I end up having to leave something unplugged because I just can't get an outlet in the right place. At least this year it won't be an LED accent light!!!Gothikim

I bought a bunch of 20 ultrabright LEDs from Ultrabrightled.com and made little spots of 1 LED each. I have them hooked up with phone cable to a single wall wort. One light will give a nice glow to a tombstone. Large objects I would use 2 lights. They have blue, white, softwhite, red ..... I used the softwhite on the tombstones and the blue on skeletons.

@Michalemeyers~ I got the blue ones from Jack's tool shed too. I am planting a chopstick in the ground about 2 ft in front of my tombstones. I will attached the clip there.
