I just bought 6 box fans at a garage sale and was wondering if the motors can be used for making props? I am electronically illiterate so any suggestions will have to be VERY simple props!

Do you have a good sense of humor? How about 6 haunted fans?

The motors are good, you could make those ghosts that travel on a pully system. There is a name for them but it fails me just now.

I believe Mikebru is thinking of Axworthy Flying Ghosts. That is a bit of a challenge for a newbie but it is definitely a cool effect.
