bought this from the flea market for 7 dollars, it is a animated , eyes light up, jaw opens and it gives a evil laugh, it is motion activated, not sure how touchy yet, but anyway, does anyone have this or know what it is? the neck is odd, , also, any way to hack it to make it do more than laugh? any help is appreciated!

My Boris hack may work to make him say other stuff. If so, you could set up a CD or MP3 player to loop a set of phrases. I wouldn't know if the hack would work without seeing some pics of his innards. Here's a link to the Boris hack:

That's a strange looking skull back. Can't say that I've ever seen it before. Curious if it has any company name stamped into the back or bottom.

Ghost of Spookie, there is no name anywhere that I can see, just says made in china, also, he laughs, flashes his eyes, and his jaw opens and closes, or the eyes flash and jaw opens and closes with out the laugh. plus with the flat head, there is a hole in the back to place on a nail to hang him on a wall or what ever.

Hey, I've got one! It was one of the first decorations I ever picked up - even before I started haunting.

Last year I tried to take the little tin speaker out and hook it up to some powered computer speakers figuring to get some more sound out of him but so far it hasn't worked - maybe just my bad soldering job.

From what I can se it isn't feasible to have him talk as the jaw is set up for the more slow motion open & close - it's some sort of gear mechanism not a servo or anything. I'm not sure - I'm a real beginner at anything electrical or animated.

thanks Uruk-Hai, I am glad that some one know about it! I thing I might just leave it with the old evil laugh, I have another skull that am working on to talk, but good to know that it is hard, as I am not a expert either,so maybe better leaving well enough alone, at least he does laugh now!!

I haven't seen one of those before. I did a Gemmy skull hack with a Dougie before, but all he did was say Christmas sayings... LOL

I have a skull just like it....but it said more things....mine was a Bride, no body but with arms and a dress and vale..... I think it also said "would you like the first dance" see if I can find a pic for you....tried to look but nothing I did get quite a few years ago......is there a company info on the battery cover? maybe you can look em up via web
