What does an Air Scare Air Volumizer do as opposed to a air cannon? Is it just noise (cannon duh) or does the air scare fit onto the cannon? Is there realiable diy builds for both? Thanks

It is more for air blasts. The air passed into it creates a vortex to suck more air thru the opening and outward.
It doesn't make any loud noises like an air cannon, but you do get some air noise like a air gun.

I assume you are talking about what is commonly referred to as an Air Amplifier? Bourno is right about the noise, just a little. They work great for subtle effects, like a "ghost" brushing across you. They also are great for blasting scents, like those from sinister scents, or as a fog cannon device.

I dont know so I guess thats the question, If someone has one of these or has made one?
It is on Minions web http://www.minionsweb.com/osStore/index.php
I like the idea of the air blast but necessarily the loud cannon noise effect. I would like to make one and I see different DIY cannon builds, but nothing in what looks like a less challenging Air "scare - volume - startle" nozzle. Somehow it hooks up to air hose and a trigger would send a air blast to/at victims.
Thanks for the help!

ok, I thought that was what bldaz was talking about.
You could potentially make one, but you would need to machine it with all the correct geometries. These are presicion devices. Here is some info on how they work. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coand%C4%83_effect
They do work very well, and do output about 25x the air volume that is inputed.Brian Warner
