Well, with the help you all have provided in various threads I have successfully (I think) finished my very first tombstone.
I learned many things while working on Mrs. Rott's memorial. Including that sometimes accidents are happy blessings in disguise. We had a storm the night after I gave the stone it's first coat of drylock. It was sitting on my workbench and got knocked off, and my worktable (an old ping pong table) collapsed on it as well. I was devastated, thinking the stone was ruined, but I went ahead, did a few shots of spray paint to the gouges in the stone and threw on the next layer of drylock. This was the results.
I think the pitting and breaking adds SO much character to the stone. I'm beyond happy with how this boo-boo (no pun intended) turned out.
I also wanted to show off a bit better shot of the stone's little critter.
Isn't he cute. *LOL*
Than you all for so much help, if you knew you did or not. If it wasn't for all the amazing tutorials I don't think this would have ever been created.
