Thread: Need Ideas turning cute teddy bears into scary props

ok, this will be my first time posting a photo so bear with me (bear, haha! no pun intended).

We're doing a creepy clown theme this year "Clown Town" and along with the clowns I made some zombie clown dolls to be the clowns' minions.....well, I found these bears at a thrift store for nothing and thought I should be able to creep them out and have them riding unicycles!

Any ideas on how to creep out a teddy bear? Has anyone here ever tricked out a teddy bear for Halloween before? Each bear is a little taller than 2 feet....



I welcome any suggestions.......

I can't think of the name of that silly horror movie about killer toys but there was a stuffed bear with what looked like plastic fangs and long claws glued on. I think it also had mean looking eye brows added and maybe blood dribbled on the teeth. You could maybe have him sitting with a shredded doll or stuffed puppy...lol!

Maybe some red led's eyes that fade in & out slowly........
Glue them to a base with a cam device under that makes them jump up & down a couple inches like they are coming to life.....
rig one of them by removing the head & attaching head to a rod (painted black) that is thru the bears body (body attached to a base). The rod can be made to lift up, so you see the bear with the head on, then suddenly it shoots up a foot, then back down........
Did this a few years back in a "haunted childs room", creeped a lot of people out !

buuurn them ... heh heh heh heh... no, seriously, it looks awesome/

Do a chucky make-over - rip and burn them up a bit, then stitch back together with packing string or wire (barbed wire??).

Teddy-bear of Frankenstein.. rip a few up and swap features...

rip a head or limb off and replace with a doll head or limb (maybe animal head? fake of course)

perhaps make a hole big enough to pull out the stuffing, turn it inside out, restuff and stitch.. then paint on guts n stuff...

mini electric chair and give another teddy the switch... (stick flashing leds under the victims fur and some smoke)

ok, i may have to stop there.. reading that back makes me sound like I have issues lol, specially towards teddy bears... (kill em.. kill em all lol...!!)

You could take a head off and use liquid latex to look like a gored up decapitation, just use the stuffing already in it and some oatmeal. Maybe do some paint washes to dirty the colors up alittle.

I see childhood issues have arose with this thread hahahahh I was going to say the stiching and the laytex rips but I'm too late I guess

Ah, I've dealt with my childhood issues, working on my adult issues now,that's why I'm here.... ..LoL
We keep these ideas up we're gonna be hearing from the NATABACA ( National Amnesty Against Teddy Bear Abuse and Cruelty Association ) !!

"DEMONIC TOYS" I believe this is the movie you are referring.
