One of the projects I am working on is an haunted bookcase. Only one shelf will have books moving so I needed something to fill the other two shelves and this is what I came up with

This is how they look ... front and back

A full how to on making these can be found on my website, under tutorials

Those look amazing! Are you going to add creepy/funny book titles?

    You guessed it !

Here's some I have come up with so far

Ghosts & Spectres by I.C. Spooks
    Preserving Bodies by M. Balming
    Burying Corpses by Doug Graves
The Book Of The Living Dead by I.M. Alive
    Haunted House by Hugo First

    Any other suggestions ??

Those look great! I love your aging. I've had to make MANY fake books for shows I have designed onstage. I bought a bunch of old books for "My Fair Lady" and gutted them and put foam inside, and for another show I just printed out hi res images of books on shelves and glued the color copies to cardboard and cut them out! But I like how dimensional yours are, and the shape/style adds some old world Whimsy. Great job!

I love the books! Gotta check out the tutorial. I'm hoping to make a haunted bookshelf also, and have been collecting old books to use to fill up the shelves in a school library scene. But your idea is much much better than having 100 lbs of old, moldy books. I just love the look of yours.

Those books look terrific! The whole shelf looks like a prop you'd see in a Disney or Universl ride. Nice!

    Great looking books.
Always enjoy it when you post a new project.

Love your work, inspired me to do my own. Using the advice of AuraofForeboding, I found a Great site with awesome hi-res graphics, including several pages of old book pics.

    Check out the site here.

There are also several pages of old paper images, great for the first few pages of old books, or potion labels or invitations!
    I love the screaming!
