I have started a new prototype design to animated the upper torso of my existing 3 axis greeter. The problem is the cost of pneumatic solenoids can anyone recomend a better way than using a 5 port solenoid? I will try to include a vid of what I have so far but keep getting invalid file error. I have never posted vids before can anyone direct me on the easiest way to do so?

DOn't know about the solenoids, but uploading to youtube or Photobucket will help you with the video thing.

I've gotten all of my solenoids off of Ebay. Here's one that's not real cheap, but $15 for a new valve isn't too bad. NEW SMC SY3160-5LZ-M5 Pneumatic 5-Port Solenoid Valve I've gotten a few really cheap large manifolds that worked out to about $4.00 a valve.
Good luck with the video posting. It always takes me forever to get one to come out correct. Terra did a tutorial on how to post pictures and videos. I look back at that one every time I try to post something. If you can get it posted, I'm sure someone can come up with a cheap solution for you.
