I am in the process of building my 50ft cemetary fence out of pallets this week. I started out by breaking down the pallets with a hammer and crowbar. This method was taking way to long so I pulled out my jig saw and came up with a great way to build a picket fence.

I jig sawed the bottom 3 board off of the pallet. I then jig sawed the side support board completly off leaving one side of the pallet resembling a square topped picet fence. This will be the top of the fence. I then used the saw to point each of the square boards. I left the center support board and bottom board on the pallet for sturdyness. I then drilled holes through the bottom support board to run rebar into the ground and keep it supported in place up right. Each 4ft section needs no nailing or hammering until you connect them all together on set up day. This method takes about 15 minutes per 4ft section to build. Also they store really well in 4ft sections. I just thought I would share this method if someone is thinking of making a fence and they hate breaking down pallets and reconstructing them.

Here are some pics of 12ft of the fence I built today.

Thanks for the compliments on the fence. I really like the way it is turning out and the best part is I am not beating myself up using the crowbar anymore.
