My first real post here so I hope I'm in the right section.

My question is really about lightning effect machines and to some extent similar effects like flickering and dimming. This is of course and awesome effect and one I would like to replicate. Ive seen all the great devices like the Firefly and the iZombie but my problem is living in the UK I of course use 220volts(ish) and not the 110v all these devices use.
As I work as a music electrician I did think of making one myself but its a bit out of my area, I did replicate the iZombie circuit using photos and the diagrams from the kit manual they sell but at the end of the day me and the other electrician in my company were unsure if the 220v would work through it (component specification was too vague in this area) so it was never constructed.

Does anyone have experience in this area or know of any designs suitable for 220v because I really don't want to have to use power converters and 110v bulbs as I sometimes do sound and lighting for stage shows it would be nice to have this effect available in my equipment all the time.
I don't really want to do the whole light organ thing as its just an on/off effect. Id really like the setup for the pre-flash to the sound and the option of having pulsing or flickering light effects too.
