The paint is now dry enough for me to take a picture of my latest creation

Based this on my previous completed Skull candle & books, this one will be inside the haunt, made mostly of corrugated cardboard, with a foam skull, and PVC candle

I will be posting an how to on this in two parts - the body of the how to being the construction of the books

Very nice Herman! I bought a book that had this as one of the ideas, but using real books...what's the advantage to making the books? I'm curious to know before I even consider starting this. Thanks for the post!

    Nice looking prop, Herman!
I'm sure the prop is not very heavy, using foam instead of real books.

Weight is an advantage, but most of all the cost. You can make the books as large as you want, with little outlay. I do have another idea in mind, which is to run a single light holder (the type used in xmas villages) through the books and have a flicker bulb in. Be so much easier just making holes in the faux books than cutting through all the pages of the books.
