Hi all! There is so much creativity on this website, I thought I would take advantage of it.
I posted this picture on another thread. Its a mirror that I found in an ally. I wanted to get some input on what you all would do with it if it were yours.
I am making my living/dinning room a vampire's lair for our halloween party and would like to incorporate it somehow. I am also doing a witches kitchen that will spill over to the family room if anyone has an idea that would work better in that area.. Thanks in advance for your help!

If you're going to use it with a vampire theme I would think about having a mirror that you can't see your reflection in. Now how to do that? hmm. It would be kind of cool if you could hang the mirror and take a picture of the room that the mirror would "see" and then somehow get that image printed out and then insert it in the mirror frame where the mirror would be. My thought is that it would look like the mirror was reflecting back only the room and none of the vampires in the room.

Not everyone will be a vampire? Even if you only had a few vampires in the room it should take them long to bite everyone and turn them into vamps. Well that would be my explanation anyway. hehe

take a photo of the wall opposite of the mirror, place the picture in the mirror frame so it mimics what would be seen in the mirror, then put clear glass over the photo....now you have a mirror people can look in and NOT see their reflection like a vampire

EDIT: I posted before I read Ghost of Spookie's post....same idea, great minds and all that

I like the idea of the refecting mirror/picture but, you aren't really using the mirror just the frame. If you have the money, you can get a piece of 4x8 plywood and put a sheet of sheetrock over the front. Make a framwork for it so it stands on end and put it in a corner of the room like an angled off corner. Put the mirror and frame on the wall. You can actually make a v shaped frame and have a roof on the top where people can't see. Create a drop panel with the mirror so when they walk up to it, it drops and there is a skele or such behind it to scare the crap out of them. Use it in a corner where there is a plug in to run everything ellectronically instead of pneumatically.

I love the idea of a non reflection mirror. I also like the idea of a haunted mirror with a scary vampire pic that fades in and out. The drop panel would be very cool too but, I'm not mechanically or electronically inclined so, I'm not sure I could pull that one off!
    Thanks for the great ideas!
