Got the stanchions finished off this weekend. Eighteen poles and 80 feet of chain took a lot more time than I expected.

You can see the push LED in the inside of the topper.
Nighttime shot:
These stanchions acheived the two things I was looking for: 1) to make the poles visible so everyone knows it's a barrier to crossing into the graveyard, and 2) make sure they didn't produce too much light that would disturb the other props. It's hard to tell from these pictures but both happened with a brillliant silver/purple light illuminating only where the chains go through the poles.
As a side note:
Going to the South in a couple of weeks and then I'll start getting serious about my fence. I wanted to make sure my survey of New Orleans didn't turn up any more design ideas.

love it!!! you did a great job on those, can't wait to see it all pulled together..so, are you getting your ideas from NOLA?? it's a great place, i love the french quarter, the cemeteries are just beautiful... and the houses are amazing..
