I've come up with an idea for a new prop and will try to describe the setting
Imagine the side view of a childs playhouse with a window in the side. On the outside is a rusty tricycle, an eyeless doll sitting in an old wood chair/highchair, maybe a swing hooked up to swing by itself.
The window will have a peppers ghost image of a small child, and the gentle slow sound of "ring a roses" comes from the playhouse, maybe with the voice of the child saying "will you be my friend?" and "will you play with me?" ... thinking that I could use a PC to do the peppers ghost and media player to play the track on a continuous loop...
too creepy? or do you think this would work ??

I would incorporate projection. It can give the same effect. If you're going full scale Pepper's ghost you're going to need a really big piece of plexy.

I like it.
It's not any more creepy than the child's grave and footsteps that some of the tech savvy posters have been collaborating on - one of the examples has a child's stone, tricycle that slowly spins and a child's voice singing and then her foot prints walking away from the grave...
One of the computer games I've played (Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst) has twin girls that were kidnapped along with their mother and their ghosts haunt their former prison that includes a candy house built for them... veeeeerrrry creepy in a good way! Kid ghosts are always good for the spooky factor!

NOTHING is TOO creepy.
What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

That sound pretty cool, actually. Why ghosts can't be kids too?
