Thread: Screamming Girl Mirror

Does anyone know where I can find this particular prop? It looks like an ordinary, if somewhat dilapidated, mirror, but when you get in front of it, the face of a girl appears and it literally screams. The girl looks like the ghost girl from The Ring. I saw a could of different versions of this prop for sale a couple of years ago, and didn't buy it then. Now, I can't find one anywhere. Just goes to show how when you see something you really want, you better get it then, or you might never get another chance.

i'm not sure but i think if you take an ordinary piece of glass, paint it silver, frame it, put a head behind it, and a light behind that, when you turn on the light a face will appear. maybe someone else will affirm this

I've never seen that particular prop. But this is close and if you want. You probably could take it apart and doctor it up to what you want on the inside:

I know there was tombstone with a donna the dead face that screamed but I didn't see the mirror one with the girl.Last year there was a man one sold at sams club sometimes the onefrom last year are on ebay.

I actually already have the Donna of the Dead tombstone. Think I could somehow frame it out to look like a mirror?

Holly cow, I think the Sam's one was like 30 bucks in the store. I thought they looked kind of cheap so I never bought one.

Whichever the version, I've never seen ebay have them for a normal price. I really don't know what the price is retail, but upwards of 100 bucks and over? Please...too much. I had an interest in these mirrors a while back, but ebay is rediculous with the price of these. Good luck. And I know how you feel about 'the prop that got away'! That's why I usually just grab the ones that I really like at the time, if possible. I usually make it possible! You're probably better off waiting to see if retail stocks the one you want. Otherwise you'll get hosed.

You can make one, but to have sound.. you would need a timer board, like a Pico-boo ..

Take an old frame with glass and add the gila mirrored film to it. You would need to add a little depth to the frame because you will need to add a light 'in' the frame. ( behind the glass but in front of your picture.) I've seen several people use a small string of christmas lights.
Find a picture of whatever you would like to light up and make it fit the frame.

You will need a trigger for your timer board such as a mat switch. And you will need to record you scream or whatever you want the sound to be when triggered. Also you will need some speakers.

Anyway, when triggered, the light in the mirror will come on showing the picture you place in there and the sound will come on.
