I want to build a gypsy tent for my next haunt. I was thinking one could be easily constructed using PVC pipe and curtains. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

pvc pipe is pretty good. If your setting this up in the dirt/grass I recomend using rebar for the base. Then you can just slide pvc over to hold up the walls. Curtains and sheets will work great for the coverings. For the top part just get pvc cornor connectors and attach them. And your set.
halloween is a super cool holiday.

Or you could just wait until the end of the summer when stores like Big Lots put those screen enclosed tents on sale dirt cheap.
Those things are easy and quick to set up and also have a lot of room!

And I'll bet those same stores will have colorful sheets on clearance as well, and there's your fabric.

I tried this last year. It blew away and was destroyed before my haunt even started

Depending on the size, I'd suggest using 1x2 wood beams to build it, ensuring it can withstand weather/wind while supporting the curtains and other decorations you plan. The wood also has a good surface area for nails, screws, staples, etc. I've used PVC and 1/2x1's in the past, and each year I have problems with stability due to the wicked SoCal winds.

Last year I used 1x2's and had no problems.
