Has anyone ever made a cemetery fence with glow in the dark, black light, or florescent paint?

Every fence I have seen has been painted black. Was thinking, each time a car goes by, it will make it glow for a few seconds or with UV lighting, a really cool glow. Let me know!
    I love the screaming!

I feel like that would be a whole theme you'd have to commit to, though if done right, that would be awesome

You'd need a bunch of well angled blacklights to get them to glow properly, and that's one light you don't want to shine in anyone's eyes - it can cause retinal burning (just like staring into the sun, but UV light doesn't trigger the pupil to contract, so it happens FAST and without warning).

If you did glow in the dark, it wouldn't be really effective unless the rest of the area was not lit up brightly - so it would mean getting all your props and pathway marked out with some GOOD glow in the dark paint and not overlighting.

I think the reason most cemetery fences are painted black is to simulate the wrought iron fencing popular during Victorian times.

I have a white wire fence with cheesecloth strung on it.

(the fence posts get topped with JoL finials that light up on Halloween night)

Terra has wood slat fencing that has been painted to look weathered and decayed.

You can definitely do fencing that is painted any old color as long as you like it and it works with your setup.

There is a REFLECTIVE spray paint on the market. It dries clear so you can paint your fence the usual black, BUT, when headlights shine on it, it reflects light. I think Rustoleum makes it.

Try dayglo's GITD pigments, which can added to a clear base and painted on.

They have a number of versions with different glow charge and discharge periods, plus a few different discharge colors.

I believe you could get the same effect with Wildfire paints/pigments as well as items from ClearNeon.

Obviously experiment a little with a small section of fence to see if the effect is what you desire.
