Hello all. I had this random thought. Check out this video in the "Making of Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow. Skip to time stamp 2:11 and what from ther to 3:00. Notice the parts where they are blowing the fog up into the air to created an overcast sky/atmosphere.

    YouTube- Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow Making-of (3/3)

Imagine getting a few industrial foggers like those shown, and mounting them on your roof aimed at the sky...

Then... you take 3-4 strobes such as the Chauvet DMX Mega Strobe III (http://www.chauvetlighting.com/dmx-mega-strobe-3.html)

Attach them to the I-Zombie MC-2401 "Multi-channel Lightning Controller"

Aim the strobes up at areas that are to be fogged or clouded. Voila, there you have a very cool clouded over lightning storm over your house!

Now, I realize, this is very cost-intensive and would really only apply to those continuing there are a few concerns. Being a police dispatcher and 911 operator myself, I can only imagine the tyraid of calls we'd get about some house that's on fire! LOLOL You would want to let your local fire department know so the don't go flying to your house with "lights & sirens"! Hahaha, although that would be funny to watch!

Well that's is. Just wanted to throw that out there while it was fresh in my mind!

Really like this idea a lot! It would help make the cemetery seem lower and foreboding. Cool.

I'm thinking there may be some practical conssideration though. It may not be practical for a regular suburb, but if your house is a little more remote, then I say go for it! I'm also wondering, has anyone heard of foggers that control the temperature of the fog so you can set it for a particular height above you?

Wow, those foggers are amazing. Remember that they're working in a totally contained and controlled environment, though. No errant breezes to blow the fog away. On a very still night the effect would be pretty damn cool; be neat to have the lightning sources inside/above the fog cloud.
    I...have many names...

It'd have to agree with Otaku. Those foggers put out some dense fog in huge quantities! I want to get my hands on one of those!
Would froggys fog juice have that same dense effect? I wonder if THEY use Froggys.

Agreed. Wind will be your enemy. I live in Chicago and October here is pure suckage. I can't get fog to do anything other than blow away outside.

That would be awesome if you could pull it off!!! I would love to try it, but I have enough trouble getting fog to hug the ground with the wind around here.
Great link by the way, Tim Burton is the master!!!!!!!

Yeah, in the video they said they shot it in the studio. So, it was a closed environment (no wind). Those foggers rock!
