My yard haunt is going to include 3 ultraprojectors in a graveyard scene.(I live next to a cemetary,so I should blend in well)
I'm going to have a stone entryway with scrim stretched across it.A projected gravekeeper will be projected on the scrim.
Projector #2 will be of my teenage daughter(projected onto scrim) kneeling next to a tombstone and crying, then she looks up(we'll get her a mask for this)and stands.
Projector #3 is planned to project my "floating green spectre" into the doorway of the mausoleum.I plan on having a coffin and some candles behind the spectre,to give the illusion of transparancy.
My problem is this: I can't project the spectre from inside the mausoleum(8'x8') as he won't be large enough due to the distance of the projector from the scrim.
If I project him in front of the mausoleum, onto the scrim, the light will pass through the scrim and into the mausoleum(don't want that).
If I put black cloth behind my scrim,I won't get the transparant effect I'm looking for. So,my last ditch idea is to float the spectre ABOVE the mausoleum onto scrim, but I think it would look better inside the doorway.I'm trying to get a 4 foot wide x 5 foot tall spectre,so it can easily be seen from the road, and it'll look more realistic.
    Any ideas?

I know there is a way to increase the size of the projection, I forgot how we did it years ago, sorry old age setting in. Have you tired a web search? Also, have you though about using mirrors to "bounce" the projection? Just a thought.

Yes,I can double the size with a mirror, but it still won't be large enough from 8 feet.I do have a fresnal (sp?) lens at my parents house and may have to go by and pick that up to try.
Anyone ever used one of these with a projector?Mine came with an underwater camera I bought to use on the lake.
