Hey all. Been awhile since i have been here, but it's good to be back and building again.( Thanks for the help Larry ) So a new prop has been started. This is the coffin cruiser 2. The idea came from a model kit made by Hawk. So as you can see it kinda looks like a dragster. The rear section is made out of a transmission and wheels from a tractor. The front wheels are just 20 inch bike tires. We fashioned a small coffin that will fit our talking skelly. It's in rough mode now but when done should be pretty cool. We are going to add some side pipes that will be plumbed to a fog machine. The gas tank will of course be filled with blood and the gear shift will be moving. Behind the rear tires we plan on adding some painted cut outs of smoke and there will be a bunch of engine parts hanging from the bottom and a few on the ground. Needs detail work like coffin handles, paint, headlights and so on. I'm always open to suggestions for other things from my fellow haunters. I will keep updating as this moves along.
Stage 2
So I went at the cruiser again today. Painted the frame and the inside flat black and the wheels silver. Then I wanted a change so i decided to paint the coffin red. Added on some handles and made the stacks. The stacks are plumbed to a fog machine. Here are a few more pictures and i put up a short vid of the stacks working. On to stage 3.

That is just awesome! I love the idea of the tire marks behind it - too bad there isn't some way to rig fire or something (can't help thinking of the Delorian from Back To The Future)
That is going to be a huge hit with the TOTs!

Great looking prop!!
2 things I would try, smoke coming off of the rear tires as in a burnout, and the music would be "Dragula" by Rob Zombie!! Again nice job.__________________________________________________ __________

I thought this was for the coffin races there for a second.
Is the fog just naturally rising out of those pipes, or do you have any fans or anything to help it?

A small update to the cruiser before the rain moved in today. We added a buzzard to the sign post along with a couple of hands sticking out of the ground in the front. We also got 1 of the 2 plywood cut outs finished for the burn out on the rear wheels. A couple more pictures.
UnOrthodOx. The fog comes out on it's own. the plumbing is short so the velocity of the fogger is plenty

This is so wicked cool! A sure hit with the kids.
I've got a few touches you may consider. I'm thinking this is just perfect for massive tricking out. Frankie's Girl was mentioning it would be cool to have flames. How about having those undercarriage neon lights you see on the street racers but in red neon? Also, some tire shine on the rubber of the tires. A skull painted on the rim of the back tires? Finally I love the red but perhaps more of a red lacquered look or the glitter sheen you see on Bass boats? Oh...or custom flames painted on it?
Sorry for all this, I just love this concept and what you are making here is very exciting.
