I was at a Haunted Forest attraction a few years back with my sister-in-law. We were talking this year's plans when her husband brought it up. At the attraction there was a girl in a hole, half "buried". She was covered in mud & leaves and such, and as we passed, tried to reach out to us to help her. Anyone seen or done something like this?

If your able to dig a hole and cover it with black scrim covered in folliage and surrounding the "sunken" person/monster you could. I personally would be scared of someone falling in the hole or having to refill it after the haunt. Plus my wife would kill me if I started digging big holes in the yard. You could always modify it by having someone dressed in a ghillie/ivy man suit and have them jump from the bushes or something.
If a kid cries...I did it right.

Along the same lines, I would LOVE to either build a prop of this type, or a gemmy. It would be very cool to have a faux mound in front of a tombstone in which a goul rises up from under the mound, and then goes back down to conceilment. It would be a tricky prop to have the mound 'part' so the prop could rise up and then go back down to be re-covered. I would think the same type of mechanism that works the Spirit prop 'Reaper of Souls', in which the robe opens up, could come into play for this type of scenario.
But I don't think I'd put a real person through such an ordeal for the night though! LOL!
