i am looking to make some Blue/UV led spots for my tombstones. My question is how many LEDs would be best for a 16 by 24 inch tombstone?

You will be surprised how bright one 10mm brilliant is. These work great for great low, after dark lighting. They show enough light to read the tombstone. I guess it is really what you are looking for. I did a tut in the how to section.

In the dark with eyes adjusted to it you would be surprised how much light a 5mm LED actually gives off. Just the blue one for my PC's power light gives off enough that it illuminates the far wall and I have to block it at night.
What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

I bought some 5mm so I hope they are good enough for my project. Have heard that the 5mm are pretty good. I guess I will see.

This is the one I used for our Make and Take - http://haunttheyard.blogspot.com/200...77344637021256
They worked great and were easy to build.
