Ok, after finding this awesome site, I had to dive in and see if I could build something. I found a great and awesome tut from LTScare on "hot coals". Thx LTScare ! I wanted to expand on the idea and this is what I have come up with so far. The ash part looks goofy in the light, but once the lights go out and I hit the internal lights, it looks pretty cool. You can check out my album page to see a somewhat progress of the build as well as a brief description. Also, I used pegbord to put the foam on and didn't foam it all the way. I want to get a fog machine and stick under it to see if the fog will come up through the holes like smoke. I want to rig up a rotisserie from an electric can opener motor as well (that's still in progress-looking for the right gears). Wood I have. Electrical/mechanical I do not. Thanks for all the cool ideas on this site. Can't wait to finish this one and move on to another project.

One pound of flesh. No more, no less. No bone. No cartlilage, but only flesh.
