Ok, after finding this awesome site, I had to dive in and see if I could build something. I found a great and awesome tut from LTScare on "hot coals". Thx LTScare ! I wanted to expand on the idea and this is what I have come up with so far. The ash part looks goofy in the light, but once the lights go out and I hit the internal lights, it looks pretty cool. You can check out my album page to see a somewhat progress of the build as well as a brief description. Also, I used pegbord to put the foam on and didn't foam it all the way. I want to get a fog machine and stick under it to see if the fog will come up through the holes like smoke. I want to rig up a rotisserie from an electric can opener motor as well (that's still in progress-looking for the right gears). Wood I have. Electrical/mechanical I do not. Thanks for all the cool ideas on this site. Can't wait to finish this one and move on to another project.

The peg board/fog machine idea is great. Can't wait to see a video.

Whoa for a first build prop that is really impressive and the concept different from what I've seen around. I too am looking forward to a video. Great job so far and nice to have you here on the forum Morbiddious.
