Awhile ago I asked y'all how to make a faux broken window. btw- thank you all for your help. Finally made one with plexiglass. Made a frame from 1/4" plywood and painted it the same color as my window frame. Glued it all together with Gorilla Glue. Put a black cloth behind it. Hung it with velcro. Will eventually put my faux roller shade, pulled down about half way, between the glass and black cloth. (scratching head, wondering .... where are those danged shades. lol ) Going to make 2 more. But for now, I have to repair a frame... I am wild with a hammer.
What do y'all think? and thanx for looking.![]()

Cath,
I need to move to SC.
Because it seems there, you have the time to do all sorts of projects.
I have not done squat......
The window looks great and will be a nice detail to your haunt..
My big adventure for today...I have to buy more cat litter....
Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas.......sigh.....Wyatt Furr

Wow Cathy, that looks great! With all the projects you've been doing lately, I can't wait to see it all put together.
I'm all that's left of a bizarre childhood.......

Looks to me, like he cut the plexiglass to shape, glued it into an appropriately sized frame, then SMASHED the center of it. And having the edges glued to a frame keeps the shattering from getting too radical and being unable to keep everything together.
Well done, sir!

Thank you, everyone for the compliments.
Bryan- that's exactly how I did it.
Also, the the plexiglass comes with a film on both sides. I removed about 2" from around the edges so it wouldn't be under the frame. But left the rest on there so when I smashed it with a hammer, the glass wouldn't go flying too far.
BYH- would love to help you!
p.m. me.
thanx, again, y'all!
