Hey hows it going everyone, just wanted to know what you guys think about this,a local Halloween store that has opened up for the past 2 years in my town, well I keep in touch with the owner through emails every so often to see what he has up for sale, sometimes during the off season he will sell things cheaper if he has a lot left over, well to make a long story short he has a prop I liked when I first seen it in 2009 in his store well I did not end up buying it,so I asked him yesterday if by any chance he still had it in storage and is it for sale,he said yes but now it does not work, its a green colored ghoul with a skeleton type of face in a wood type of cage, its about 4-5 feet tall,it sits on the ground not a hanging prop and the ghoul is in the cage. When I seen it last year for sale what it did was shake real violently and the eyes light up and it made noises, well now he said something got disconnected or something in it and it does not work at all.Ok the orginal price working last year was 70,he said he paid 45 wholsale for it and would sell it to me for 25,just wondering do you guys think thats a good deal since it does not work at all ? still looks cool to just display, i couldnt find any pics online to show you guys, but just wondering if you think i should get it anways or would you not pay that knowing its broken. I just like to here your opinions, really enjoy talking to people on here!
**** Found a pic online lol its in my post now ****
Thanks
Tim

For that price I would go for it. If it used to shake violently, probably a wire or connection has come lose, rather than a component failure, so should fairly simple to fix with little or no electrical knowledge. Fix by looking! Even if you can't fix it 66% discount is not bad!

Even as a static prop, 25 is a great deal IMO. If you have a place for it in your haunt, go for it.

If it shook, had light up eyes, and made noises, it's obviously got some kind of controller inside it. That it does nothing right now could be a very simple fix (like a broken wire) or an unrepairable fix (like a blown controller board). Regardless, $25 for a static prop isn't unreasonable, and I'd go for it. Even if it's a blown controller board, you could probably still hook up the shaker motor and eyes directly to a power supply and have a 2/3 working prop.

$25.00 for a static prop that looks like that is sweet. i paid a guy $25.00 to build me a static skeleton bride holding her husbands head in her flowers. and at kmart after halloween i paid $25.00 for a demo skeleton in a coffin [the only one left] that had been played over and over. i would go for it. and better yet is if you get it to work. good luck

I'd buy it for that price.

That's a great price! I thought about building something like that last year (LOVE the barbed wire around it!), but i changed themes.
